1. The service
Speech Name lets eligible customers claim a handle, mark audio under that handle, register fingerprints for each issuance, and let others verify submitted audio. Features, limits, and paid entitlements may depend on your account or Marketplace order.
2. Accounts and handles
You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and use the service only when legally permitted. A handle is an address and search scope inside Speech Name. Identity, speaker identity, ownership, consent, trademark rights, and legal authority require separate evidence.
Handles are governed by our Handle and dispute policy. We may reserve, suspend, or reassign a handle when needed to address abuse, legal claims, security, or service integrity.
3. Your audio and permissions
You keep your rights in audio you submit. You give Grid Heap the limited permission needed to process that audio, embed the mark, generate and store fingerprints and issuance records, return results, and operate and secure the service.
You are responsible for having all permissions required to submit, modify, mark, distribute, and disclose the audio. Do not use Speech Name to suggest an endorsement, licence, consent, or identity that does not exist.
4. What a result means
“Mark detected” means the service found a Speech Name mark. “Verified issuance” means the service matched the submitted audio to an issuance under the identified handle, subject to the service’s current thresholds. Neither result identifies a speaker or proves ownership, consent, authorship, authenticity of every statement, or permission to use the audio.
Detection and matching can fail after severe editing, very short excerpts, unsupported file formats, service errors, or interruptions. Use additional evidence and professional judgment for high-stakes legal, safety, employment, credit, or identity decisions.
5. Acceptable use and service changes
Do not use the service to infringe rights, impersonate others, distribute unlawful content, evade safeguards, reverse engineer protected service components, disrupt the platform, or misrepresent a verification result. We may limit or suspend access to protect users, the service, or third parties.
We may change the service and these terms as the product develops. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms where permitted by law.
